The Campsite
Porthclais Farm Campsite is a spacious, family-run campsite near St Davids in Pembrokeshire, the UK’s smallest city. The campsite began as part of a family-owned working farm in 1926 and has been welcoming campers, and in due-course caravaners, ever since.
Our campsite is located right on the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast with panoramic sea views across St Brides Bay and is within walking distance of the historic city of St Davids with its magnificent Cathedral and grounds. You will find us by following the quiet country lane from St Davids towards Porthclais Harbour and turning left into our private farm road.
The campsite has direct access for walkers to a truly unspoilt section of the world famous Pembrokeshire Coast Path, which runs 186 miles from St Dogmaels to Amroth, noted for its varied and often breathtaking scenery.

Our Promise
Our Promise
We aim to provide you with the best possible experience of our wonderful Pembrokeshire landscape and to help you to have a memorable and enjoyable adventure whilst you visit us!
Our aim is to ensure you have the best possible camping experience with us.
The quiet, picturesque (and jet ski free) Porthclais Harbour right next to the campsite is a great place to have a leisurely picnic, brave a quick dip in the sea or to launch a paddleboard or kayak.
For those who wish to explore the area without having to use their car, there is a shuttle bus service from the Porthclais Harbour with very reasonably-priced tickets which can be purchased onboard. The bus route covers St Justinians, St Davids and Whitesands Ba. St Justinians is the home of the RNLI Lifeboat Station and the launching place for its boats, whilst Whitesands beach is an ideal day-out location for explores of all ages with its long stretch of soft sand, lifeguard service, as well as an opportunity to learn how to surf under the watchful eye of experienced tutors.
The Camping Area
Lawns & Site
Our campsite covers a large area: 24 acres are available for tents and one field of 5 acres is licensed for touring caravans and camper vans. The campsite is flat and well-drained which is ideal for camping.
Size & Space
Another field of 4 acres is available for August Bank Holiday and High Season so there’s plenty of room for everyone at all times of the year, even when we’re at our busiest.
Dog Friendly
We have 5 fields for camping. 4 of our fields are dog friendly. We appreciate that some families prefer to avoid dogs so dogs are not allowed in one field overlooking the sea; this large field is dog free.
